Welcome to Bodhi & Kai

Hi, I’m Joanne Whelan, the heart behind Bodhi & Kai, a family-run baby and children’s boutique nestled in the charming town of Cirencester. What began as a humble 6ft table at the Corn Hall has grown into a beloved retail destination, offering carefully curated products for little ones and their families.

With over 30 years of experience in retail—combined with years in logistics and a personal passion for nurturing young minds (I even spent some time as a childminder!—I’ve brought a unique blend of expertise and care into creating Bodhi & Kai. My aim has always been to provide a space that combines style, functionality, and warmth, making it easy for parents and families to find beautiful, quality items for their children.

When I’m not in the store, I’m a proud wife, mum to two amazing boys, and owner to a cheeky cat, all of which inspire and fuel the heart behind what I do every day. I believe that every child deserves a space to grow, explore, and be celebrated—and Bodhi & Kai is my way of helping make that happen.
